All About Me!

Welcome to my blog!  My name is Grace Stepanek.  I am a senior at the University of Tennessee studying psychology and education.  I am currently preparing to get my masters in Elementary Education.  I was born and raised in Murfreesboro, Tennessee with my mom, dad, and four siblings.  Growing up I was always around younger children and this played a huge role in my desire to become a teacher.  After working with children through tutoring, Vacation Bible School, nannying and observing elementary classrooms, I have decided to pursue this dream of mine!  

Outside of school I am very involved in my church, John XXIII.  I have found a great community here and I love spending time with them!  I also enjoy going to the movies, listening to live music, reading, painting furniture, vacationing and spending time outdoors.  My favorite season is the fall.  My favorite place to vacation is anywhere that there is a beach.  I am a huge Volunteer fan and I love supporting them at sporting events!  Go Vols!

Through this class I want to learn the best ways to teach my future students by using technology.  With the growing use of technology in the classrooms I want to be sure that I know everything I need to know to help students become the best that they can be.  I hope to learn how to make an accessible and useful website for my future classroom that will provide both teachers and students with everything they need to know about the year ahead of them.
